They’re huge supporters of open source software. Technologies such as the internet, websites and cellphones should be easily accessible options for every man and woman on the planet. And it’s simply the best blogging service in the world. Not to mention that they make life easier for us because they’ve already made the foundation. We modify and build upon it, offering you great rates in return.
What’s the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org websites?
Wordpress.com is a much simpler version with less options for SEO (search Engine Optimization) etc. However, you can pop over to their site and set up one for free. We tell you this because we believe in people and businesses being on the internet, especially if they come from our beautiful hometown of Knysna. Nevertheless, we much prefer WordPress.org which offers more options with greater versatility e.g. adding the weather. This means more work but the result is worth it. All sites made by us are hosted with us too.
Could I build the website myself?
Yes, you can. And that’s a good-hearted, well-intended comment. We respect WordPress for being a wonderful service accessible to all. But we do believe we’re quicker and better at it than the layman. We take the hassle out of you learning about things such as widgets and SEO.
How much will web hosting cost?
This varies but small to medium traffic volumes is round R200 annually. BUT THIS DOESN’T MATTER BECAUSE WE’RE PROVIDING YOUR FIRST YEAR FOR FREE:)
A massive site like Facebook would obviously cost more and that leads to the next question…
Can you build me a site like Facebook?
Absolutely! And you get free unicorns and faeries with every purchase:) Seriously, though, no, we can’t. Millions of cash go into the development of Facebook. We’re a small website design company catering for personal and small to medium companies. There are limitations to what we can do but if you have a look at sites we’ve already done, it’s likely we’ll create something for you to love too.
How long will it take for me to get my website?
As quick as we can get it to you:) There’s no definitive answer to that as it depends on how much work must go into it e.g. photo/picture editing, logo design or modification, copywriting, research, size of website? We’d look at our schedule and tell you a date which we hope you’ll find acceptable. Small sites can often be done within 72 hours although, on occasion, we’ve surprised customers within 24hrs:)
Can I update my own website?
Yes, you can! We’ll show you how. It’s incredibly simple. In fact, we’ll go as far as to say that it’s the easiest in the world.
How much will this cost me?
The BIG question is actually a little one:) Prices start from only R2500 ($300) and we prefer not to take on projects that will cost more than R3500 ($450).
URL registration is a separate cost, ranging from R100 for .co.za to R150 for .com and .net annually (that includes a surcharge for the service) BUT YOUR FIRST YEAR IS FREE!
Website hosting is R240 annually BUT YOUR FIRST YEAR IS FREE!
So, if you’re thinking “WOW!”, you’d be correct. Getting started on the internet is damn cheap with us.
