The Slow Festival is held over Easter every year and is unique in many ways. Only one of its kind in Africa, it’s a festival celebrating the real things in life: Wholesome Goodness, Family, Friends, Fun, the Outdoors and Great food.
There are plenty of activities for the children and indeed the whole family to do. There is entertainment galore, much to see, great competitions to be won and best of all, many deserving charities are supported by monies raised during the festival.
Not to be missed are a variety of exciting events including the Flying Bunny Beach Fling and Egg Dash, the Sand Sculpting Challenge, nightly Drive-in, the ‘Anything that Floats’ Challenge, Slow Bike Challenge, Music Trivia evening, Slow Fest Beauty Pageant, Goukamma Traverse Trail Run, Lions Volleyball Tournament and Amazing Creatures and Band Street Parade…to name but a few.
The infamous markets provide delectable foods, the best coffee and the ever popular organic products, arts and crafts to all whilst Art in the Park, Paragliding Challenge, Dog Walk & fun show and Live musicians ensure entertainment around the clock.
