Just Jinger Lost Plot Gosh, the clouds on the West Head were thick and threatening when we rode down Knysna Heights on Friday night. By morning, it was raining furiously but fortune smiled on Just Jinjer, their support acts and us when it stopped 2 hours before the concert.

The Lost Plot is an incredible venue. Standing atop the Head, in between Brenton-on-Lake and Brenton-on-Sea, it offers an impressive view of the Knysna Estuary and town. It was my first time meeting the owners, Catriona and Andrew (Cat and Andy), and they immediately joined the ranks of the nicest people in Knysna (so warm and down-to-earth). Not least, they allowed us, as Love Knysna Projects, to bring 4 kids from Judah Square for a fun, cultural experience – they had a great time.

I drank Mitchell’s Beer, ate a yummy veg and feta wrap (whose proceeds went to the Knysna Education Trust) and topped it off with a peanut butter and strawberry cup cake from Dinky Cakes.

Concert was acoustic. Just Jinjer were like old mates as they joked with the crowd. Kudos to them for spending so much time with everyone afterwards.

The Lost Plot is based at Brenton Hill Catering. It’s a great, family venue that strangely owes its existence to the great fire of 2010. If you haven’t been before, be sure to pop by next time.

  1. This looks like it was so much fun. Well you know what they say about Cape weather. If you don’t like it…wait 10min.
