In keeping with a new home for the Official Festival venue this year the festival also boasts a variety of new lifestyle events for everyone.
On Wednesday 11 July restaurants in and around Knysna will showcase their talents in The Pick n Pay Flavours of Knysna. This promises to be an evening of culinary delights for visitors with restaurants competing in a variety of categories for recognition by judges for their gastronomic talents.
Throughout the entire 10 days of the festival the Pick n Pay Fresh Experience will be open between 9am and 4pm each day at the Official Festival Venue. It promises to be the ideal spot to meet up with friends and family for lunch and drinks while listening to local musicians showcase their talents. And for those not content to spend their lunch-time sitting around, on some days they will be able to ride quad bikes, take part in paintball challenges and an assortment of fun games and activities.
Children are also guaranteed the time of their lives at the Pick n Pay Young Oyster Festival presented by Humpty Dumpty Eggs held daily at the Official Festival Venue. While moms and dads enjoy lunch or participating in the over 100 festival events they will be kept busy with fun sporting activities, cultural and culinary workshops and live kiddies entertainment.
On Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 July the Knysna Wine Festival and Night Market will be held at the Official Festival Venue between 4 and 9pm each evening. Come and spend the evening enjoying tasting wine and a smorgasbord of food stalls offering neighborhood cuisine and fresh produce while listening to local musicians around roaring fires.
