A man was walking down a Knysna street when he came across a body lying on the sidewalk. He used his cellphone to call the emergency number, 10111.
The operator asked him where he was and the man replied, “I’m on Montagu Street.”
“How do you spell that?” the operator asked.
“M-A-N-T-” the man began.
“No, M-A-N-T-A-G-O-O…..”
“No, M-O-N-T-E….Oh, bugger – I give up! I’ll drag him over to Queen Street and call you again.”
