Incredible Wall Painting at Piccola Italia

Mark Stevens artist - Piccola Italia KnysnaIt’s no secret that Knysna is a magnet for creative types. Some are like artist Mark Stevens, exceptionally talented but unconcerned with fame whilst seeking a simple life that’s surrounded by the beauty that is Knysna.

Mark’s styles are ecletic. In his career, that’s ranged from political to socio, portraits to landscapes. His mediums have included pencil, paint, stone, wood, clay, wax, palster and bronze. His influences include Lautrec, Duchamp, Dali, Da Vinci and South Africans such as Walter Batiss, Braam Kruger and Martin Wessels.

An amazing example of Mark’s work can be found across an entire wall inside Piccola Italia, the coffee shop in Woodmill Lane. It’s an enormous piazza scene featuring many characters you will know. And you can be one of them. For a reasonable fee, you (friends and family) can be included in this artwork. Pop in for a coffee and have a look. You can get hold of Mark on 079 311 5614.
