The eclectic décor is warm and inviting, with bright quirky colours, interesting textures and comfortable seating.
The food is simple and wholesome, prepared from the fresh produce grown in the resort’s vegetable and herb garden, and sourced from local producers.
Café Z is all about delicious, freshly prepared, beautifully presented food, served in a relaxed environment.
The concept was inspired by the success of Geoffrey’s Farm to the Table menus which he launched at Zachary’s in 2010.
These menus focused on fresh local produce and represented a mouth-watering array of comfort food dishes at excellent value.
Menu items have included Spring pea soup with grilled courgettes, lemon & jersey milk ricotta; San Ambroso Farm’s pork & pistachio terrine with pickled stone fruit, wild rocket & grilled sourdough; Grilled 28 day dry-aged grass-fed ribeye with chard, crème fraiche, pont neuf potatoes & bordelaise; and Buttermilk & cardamom panna cotta with pineapple ginger beer & pineapple sherbet.
Starters are priced from R50, mains from R75 and dessert dishes at about R50.
A select wine list includes wines by the glass, half-carafe and bottle, and the full award-winning Zachary’s wine list is available on request.
The new restaurant is open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and in between for light meals and refreshments. Free Wi-Fi is available to guests.

Directions: Turn right into George Rex off the N2, just past Kwikspar. Turn left into Wilson Street the right around the circle into Lagoon View Drive. Pezula Resort Hotel & Spa is at the top of the hill on the left hand side. Café Z in on the lower level of the hotel.
