Local muso, Pierre Opperman, and Knysna FM DJ, Wayne Greenstone, contemplated the seasons when looking at a willow tree that stands in front of Wayne’s patio. Winter had it looking forlorn without leaves but in spring it budded again and the birds were happy on its shoulders.
The result is a song called ‘Old Man Willow’, a combination of acoustic rock and afro pop which has a rhythm as calming as a stream trickling thorough the Knysna forest.
